COMING EVENTS:next neighbourhood Watch Meeting: Tuesday 21st September 2010 At the Mandurah Police Station at 4:00 pm. MENTAL HEALTH WEEK EXPO- Monday 4th October, 2010 at the Ac-cent Centre. NHW to provide Tea & Coffee for the event. Volunteers are required. LITTLE NIPPERS MAAWIT CHILDREN'S FESTIVAL - To be held on Sunday 17th October 2010 on the eastern foreshore. Volunteers are required.
PAST EVENTS: COODANUP FORESHORE Sunday 28th March. Sausage sizzle. This was a resounding success with all 400 sausage sizzles sold by 4pm. A very big thanks to our volunteers who worked tirelessly on the day. Keith Slinger, Daisy Scacchia, Bim Onderwater, Peg Winchester, Alan Richards.
ARRIVE ALIVE XMAS CAMPAIGN - Friday 27th November 2009. A very busy event that included serving lunch to 120 school children. Thanks again to our volunteers who did a great job! XMAS LUNCHEON - Held at the Peel Alehouse on Tuesday 24th November. Well attended and all enjoyed good food and cheer. A big thanks to Helen Bovell for organising this event. PEEL REGION SENIORS EXPO - a sausage sizzle held on Friday 30th & Sat 31st October 2009 outside the Ac-cent Centre from 10am - 3pm. Volunteers, Peg Winchester, Daisy Scacchia, Jim Thomson, Keith Slinger, Doreen Moore, Alan Richards, Amanda Ahearn.
LITTLE NIPPERS MAAWIT KARA CHILDREN'S FESTIVAL Held on Sunday 18th October 2009 from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm. A huge success with 100 burgers sold, 1000 sausages and 600 drinks. A big thanks to all the volunteers who helped on the day. BLUE LIGHT DISCO - NHW held a sausage sizzle at the Old Yacht Club, Halls Head on Friday 17th July from 12:00 till 3:00 pm for school children in conjunction with Community Policing. PAMPHLET DROP: This was completed with the help of many volunteers to the following areas - Dawesville, Eastport Bouvard, Northport Bouvard and parts of Falcon. A big thank you to all the people who contributed. STRETCH FESTIVAL - Sunday 26th April, 2009 NHW provided healthy 100% beef burgers at the Falcon Bay Beach firing. A very successful event with over 100 burgers sold on the night. A special thanks to all our volunteers who helped make the night. STRETCH FESTIVAL - Saturday 2nd & Sunday 3rd May, 2009 NHW provided afternoon teas with cakes and sandwiches between 1 pm and 4 pm on both days at the Senior Citizen's Centre. A big thankyou to the City of Mandurah for allowing us to participate and of course to our valuable volunteers who made the event so successful. PEG WINCHESTER RECEIVES AWARD A volunteer Recognition Event was held at RAC headquarters on Tuesday 2nd December at which volunteers from all over the state were selected and received a certificate for their efforts over many years.
