PAST EVENTS:PEG WINCHESTER RECEIVES AWARD A volunteer Recognition Event was held at RAC headquarters on Tuesday 2nd December at which volunteers from all over the state were selected and received a certificate for their efforts over many years. Congratulations to Peg on receiving this award from NHW Mandurah. Brian Scully, Daisy Scacchia, Peg Winchester SCHOOLIES WEEK HELD LATE NOVEMBER Very successful with all food consumed on both occasions. We worked at a police road block on the Southwest Highway providing free food and cool drinks to the schoolies on their way down south and also on their return. Again a big thanks to all the volunteers who helped out on both days.
Xmas Luncheon NHW held it's annual Xmas luncheon at the Peel Ale House on Tuesday 25th November and we had a good turn-out of 35 people attend. A BIG thanks goes to Helen Bowell who organised the event which was well received by everyone. Here are some photos of the luncheon. Thanks to all our volunteers who helped out during the last twelve months.
LITTLE NIPPERS MAAWIT KARA CHILDREN'S FESTIVAL - Sunday 19TH October 2008 This was a great success and a big thanks goes to all the volunteers who helped out on a very warm day. We sold over 700 sausages and 800 drinks so that will certainly help to keep the bank account looking healthy.
Congratulations and a big thankyou to all the volunteers who helped with a pamphlet drop last week covering the whole of the Greenfields area.Ron & Dawn Murphy, Doreen Moore and Fed Hampson were some of our volunteers who participated. Year 7 Drug Awareness sausage sizzles were a great success with over 400 students and teachers catered for by NHW Judith Conley, Emily Pinnell, Alan Richards, Peg Winchester COMING EVENTS:Next neighbourhood Watch Meeting: Tuesday 17th February 2009. The office will be closed during the Xmas period from Monday 15th December until it re-opens again on Monday 3rd February 2009 EYES ON THE STREET - Wed 3rd December from 9am till 11am. Sausage sizzle on the foreshore. Volunteers wanted!
